Gorilla Trekking & Primate Safari. Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Kigali as you journey through Rwanda's picturesque countryside toward Volcanoes National Park. Passing rolling green hills, terraced farms, and traditional villages, you'll arrive at the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the bamboo forests in search of the rare and endangered Golden Monkeys.
Known for their playful nature and striking golden-orange fur, these lively primates offer an unforgettable wildlife encounter and fantastic photography opportunities.
After the trek, continue your journey across the Rwanda–Uganda border via Cyanika or Katuna and travel through the breathtaking Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa." Enjoy spectacular mountain scenery before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. Relax at your lodge, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the highlight of your safari the following day.

After an early breakfast, head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a comprehensive briefing before beginning one of Africa's greatest wildlife experiences—Mountain Gorilla Trekking.
Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, hike through the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may last anywhere from a few hours to most of the day depending on the gorillas' location, but every step is worthwhile. Once located, you'll spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, groom, play, and interact in their natural habitat.
Following your trek, return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park.

Following breakfast, report to Kibale Forest headquarters for a briefing before entering the rainforest for an exciting Chimpanzee Trek.
Kibale National Park is renowned as the Primate Capital of Africa, home to 13 species of primates including one of the largest populations of wild chimpanzees on the continent. Listen to their loud calls echoing through the forest before watching them swing through the trees, feed, socialize, and interact in their natural environment. Along the trek, you may also spot red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, numerous bird species, and colorful butterflies.
After your chimpanzee experience, return to the lodge for lunch before beginning your scenic drive back to Kigali. Cross the Uganda–Rwanda border and continue through Rwanda's beautiful rolling hills before arriving in Kigali, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of an unforgettable East African primate adventure.
