Day 01 :

Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park

Driving Time: Approximately 5–6 Hours

Your 3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking Safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala, Entebbe, or Entebbe International Airport.

After a short briefing from your professional safari guide, you'll begin the scenic drive westwards through the districts of Mityana and Mubende towards Fort Portal, one of Uganda's most picturesque towns.

Enjoy stunning views of traditional villages, lush banana plantations, tea estates, rolling hills, and rural landscapes along the journey.

A delicious lunch will be served in Fort Portal before continuing to Kibale National Park.

In the afternoon, explore the nearby Crater Lakes region on a guided nature walk where you'll enjoy breathtaking scenery, rich birdlife, and panoramic views of western Uganda's volcanic landscape.

Day 02 :

Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

Today is the highlight of your 3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking Safari.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

The guides will explain trekking rules, safety procedures, and what to expect before entering the rainforest.

Kibale National Park is famous for hosting over 13 species of primates, making it one of Africa's premier primate destinations.

As you trek through the tropical forest, you'll search for habituated chimpanzee families while also encountering:

Red-tailed monkeys
Grey-cheeked mangabeys
Black-and-white colobus monkeys
L'Hoest's monkeys
Olive baboons
Numerous colourful bird species

Once the chimpanzees are located, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing their fascinating behaviours as they feed, groom, communicate, and swing through the forest canopy.

Return to Kampala or Entebbe
